Report Malicious sites - Report Virus infecting sites
Report Virus infecting websites to Google see link below
http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_badware/

badware info
www.Stopbadware.org.

I so tired of web sites trying to put Malicious Software on my computer. When you click a link you get these pop-ups that say your computer is infected and you can not get rid of the pop-up. They want you to click OK to put the Malicious Software is on your computer and then they try and get you to buy there Anti-Virus Spyware to get the Virus off That those Bastards put on your computer in the first place. Here's a tip as soon as you see the Pop-up shut down your computer this has worked for me. I'm no expert so if there is an expert out there please comment on this.
Here's a link that has free downloads to protect your computer from Spyware etc. www.how-to-get-rid-of-viruses-for-free.com
Google is working on it. Is Yahoo, MSN etc. doing something about this as well if so please post a link to there sites like Google has.

http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_badware/

Google is hoping users of its search engine will report "bad sites" to help the company fight criminals exploiting its infrastructure in order to distribute malicious software.

According to the Google security blog, the search giant already knows about hundreds of thousands of "bad" Web sites but is hoping that its users will add to the list by completing an online form to report malicious sites that are not already flagged.

The fight is important to Google because sites containing malicious software endanger the search giant's reputation by exploiting and infecting its users. This was described recently in a blog by security company Sunbelt.

Last year, Google started flagging sites listed in its search results that contain malicious software. When a bad site is selected, instead of being sent to the site, the user is shown a message saying, "Warning--the site you are about to visit may harm your computer!" Users then have the option to continue or return to the search page.

Google "independently checks the Web for badware and badware-linking code...using its own test procedures," according to StopBadware.org, which is working together with Google in its fight against malicious Web sites.

Re: Great information about MSN and Malious sites

MSN and Malious sites
The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool checks computers running Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003 for infections by specific, prevalent malicious software—including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom—and helps remove any infection found. When the detection and removal process is complete, the tool displays a report describing the outcome, including which, if any, malicious software was detected and removed.

Search engines 'point to malicious sites'
Don't count on them to protect you, study warns

Juan Carlos Perez
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/index.cfm?newsid=6159
Search engines deliver links to dangerous websites that download spyware and adware to visitors' PCs, exploit security vulnerabilities and attempt to scam users and include them in spam lists, a study has found.

US users land on malicious websites about 285 million times per month by clicking on search results from the five major search engines, according to the study, conducted by McAfee's SiteAdvisor unit and released last week. Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask.com and AOL comprise the top search engines.

It also found that the adverts search engines run with their results are significantly more likely to lead users to malicious sites than unpaid-for results. On average, almost nine percent of these so-called sponsored results link to rogue sites, compared with an average of 3.1 percent of normal search results. Of the major search engines, MSN delivered the fewest malicious links, with 3.9 percent, while Ask.com fared the worst, with 6.1 percent.

"Our core advice: it's a jungle out there. Users should be careful where they go and what they do when choosing sites based on search engine results," reads the study. "Users can't count on search engines to protect them."

Some popular search keywords such as 'digital music' and 'singers' can trigger a set of results in which 72 percent of the items link to malicious websites, according to the study, conducted between January and April.

Marissa Mayer, Google's vice-president of search products and user experience, acknowledged that this is "a real issue" and said Google has taken steps to address it. For example, Google offers an antiphishing plug-in for the Firefox browser, she said.

Meanwhile, a Yahoo spokeswoman said the company offers a spyware detection and removal tool in its browser toolbar and it also has systems and employees devoted to improving the "quality" of its ad listings. Users of its search engine can also report malicious sites to Yahoo, she said in an email.

Microsoft is also aware of the problem and attempting to curb it with its toolbar's pop-up ad blocker and antiphishing filter, said Justin Osmer, MSN senior product manager. "And we continue to work on all aspects of our search service to provide people with the best answer possible and protect them against malicious sites," he said via email.

That the vast majority of search results are safe is a major accomplishment, an Ask.com spokeswoman wrote via email. "Like the other major engines, we are committed to raising the bar even higher as we continue to apply human processes and technology to identify and remove unwanted sites from our index," she wrote.

AOL didn't immediately respond to requests seeking comment.

McAfee suggests an unsurprising solution to the problem: users should download the free browser tool from SiteAdvisor, which tells users if websites are safe or unsafe to visit.

Fake Celebrity Video Sites Serving Malware
With blackhat search engine optimization tactics clearly converging with social engineering, the result of which is the increasing supply of Zlob malware variants served as fake codecs, it's about time we spill some coffee on several campaigns in order to get a better understanding of the way the campaigns function.

These campaigns are also starting to get so sophisticated, that analyzing a single one will expose another massive SQL injection, reveal several blackhat SEO domain farms, let you obtain fresh Zlob malware variants, and point you to the very latest and undetected rogue software if you manage to expose the entire scammy ecosystem through all the redirections put in place to make it harder to get to the bottom of it.

What's important to keep in mind when assessing and shutting down such comprehensive campaigns is that on the majority of occasions the front end domains as well as the secondary ones are all attempting to download the codecs from hardcoded locations. Consequently, you have 50 front end domains and another 50 as secondary redirection points all attempting to download the codecs from 3 download locations. Once again, the malware authors efficiency centered mentality emphasizing on the easy of management for the campaign is making it possible to.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/151328/malware_brad_pitt.html?tk=rss_news
Brad Pitt is top of the fake website malware league
Movie star Brad Pitt has shoved Paris Hilton off the top of a list neither will have coveted being on. A fan entering Pitt's name in a search engine now has a startling one in five chance of finding a malware-hosting site instead, says McAfee.

Pitt is top of the fake website malware league, just ahead of a collection of pop and film stars that reads (in descending order) Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Heidi Montag, Mariah Carey, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan, Cameron Diaz, George Clooney, and Angelina Jolie.

Hilton no longer even makes the fake web top ten, but can perhaps take some solace from her continued popularity with spammers.

I like hot chicks too here's what google found as the hottest chick in the world. Transformers star, Megan Fox, 21, has been named the World's Sexiest Woman in FHM's annual poll for 2008! I would have to agree!
